Ethofenprox, a novel Pyrothrin against about 50 kinds of pest, is discovered and commercialized successfully by Mitsui Toatsu Chemicals Inc. in 1980s. As a broad spectrum insecticide and without resistance across the other pyrothroids, Etofenprox with contact and stomach action can be applied instead of such organic phosphorus pesticides to be forbidden because of toxicity. The higher activity, function of knocking down, lower toxicity to human and harmless to fishes as well as the most hydrophily bodies make Etofenprox an excellent plant protection agent.
